Today, crews finished installing OUC's first floating solar farm at the Gardenia facility in Orlando. The facility sends up to 31.5 kilowatts back into the power grid and produces enough energy to power about five homes. Floating solar can offer greater advantages over land-based arrays, as water is usually devoid of trees and the reflectivity of the water can actually increase the capacity.
