Jan 9, 2025 · Over the weekend, PNC Bank failed to update. I reset all three PNC accounts and then PNC wouldn't appear in the Update Summary though it was updating. I reinstalled Quicken again this morning and it still fails to appear. USAA is appearing, but I haven't had to reset it again, yet. There is something strange going on here.

I have two PNC checking accounts. One is Direct Connect and the other is Web Connect. The Direct works better and faster than Web on my slow satellite connection. I don't see an option to change the Web connect to Direct connect. Is there a way?

Feb 1, 2025 · In my main data file I have PNC set up with Direct Connect (DC) which for the most part has been very reliable and trouble-free….at least for me. If you are missing a lot of transactions, then you might want to log into your online PNC account and manually download the transactions in the Quicken (qfx) format file.

regarding this PNC Bank issue, I tried on my own today, and I was able to connect my four PNC accounts with "PNC Bank - Direct Connect". I was able to authorize successfully on the web, at last! Perhaps this means they actually have resolved the issue, since I didn't run into any errors, and my PNC balances are correct.

After a recent Quicken update, I lost connections to PNC. When I try to add an online service, I am asked to authorize Quicken, and I'm sent to what USUALLY is the bank login page. But now it is taking me to a page that says: HTTP Status 400 – Bad Request

PNC - Virtual Wallet: This is the EWC+ connection financial institution that is designed to be used with consumer checking and savings accounts. It should be used instead of PNC Bank - Web Connect. I run this in a test file and it is somewhat problematic with occasional transactions not downloading for weeks or a month or not at all.

Backup your file, then deactivate all the accounts associated with PNC Bank-Web Connect. Navigate to PNC Bank's website, look for third-party apps, and unlink Quicken. After unlinking accounts, return to Quicken and attempt to Add the PNC accounts using the "+" button. Carefully relink your PNC Bank accounts with the corresponding Quicken accounts.

I suspect the issue is related to the server issues PNC has had with EWC the last week or so. They have been having significant server issues affecting all 3rd party financial softwares, including Quicken. While it sounds like the EWC issue might be improving now it does seem that now they are working on the DC issue.
