Feb 25, 2024 · I just assumed this noise was par for the course until a family member installed a Fireplace Xtrorndinair. The blower is exterior to the fireplace and mounted outside the house. The fireplace makes insane amounts of heat and has zero blower noise. Wow. Does anyone know of a kit or mod to move a 7100FP blower to the outside of the unit? Thank you.
External blower motor going bad on RSF Onyx. - Hearth.com Forums
Jan 22, 2006 · The external blower on our Onyx does not sound happy this season. Sounds like a bearing is going bad, or something. Do I send this one back for repair/replacement, or look at other options? I believe it's an 8" ~650cfm blower. There are tons of inline fans out there, and I wonder if some others might be quieter? Thoughts?
Help! Our BIS Nova fireplace blower keeps dying!
Dec 28, 2013 · The blower is mounted underneath the stove in the back on a metal bracket. The 3 replacement blowers that Lennox sent have thermostatic control on them - the original one that came with the stove did not. We had a light switch installed to control the blower originally. This blower has run very little, was installed late last Spring.

Oct 11, 2015 · I just moved into a house that was built in the 1970s. It has a good size fireplace 33wx27hx24deep with some tubes that run through the back and top of it, to blow air out the top, via some cutouts in the fireplace facia. It has 2 small fans, one on each side, on the bottom of the fireplace. One of the fans still works, the other doesn't.

Dec 22, 2011 · One other option to consider, albeit a hydro hit as well, is to use a blower cycling thermostat. The CAG1500 from Lux will let you cycle your blower only from your furnace. Once I installed I seem to get much more even heat. It will cycle the furnace fan only up to 12 mins every hour - I set min to run 3 mins every 15 mins.

Dec 6, 2009 · Using a blower, especially on a well designed stove for a blower, helps get more heat out of the stove. That is pretty simple and not much to argue about. Of course there are other variables that come into play like will it effectively lower the internal temp of the stove and affect combustion and performance - maybe.

May 5, 2011 · Fireplace Blower The fireplace comes equipped with a heat activated blower. It is located in the bottom of the fireplace, towards the back. (broken link removed) A 1-2 hour burn with 3-4 logs should've kicked it off. They are usually 'snap-disk' activated, with the disc attached to the bottom of the unit. Perhaps it got dislodged. Gabe
