The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season is rapidly approaching. After the 2024 season, which produced a list of thrilling finishes and memorable moments, 2025 looks to be another year of exciting NASCAR action.

Seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson plans to run two series races this season, Legacy Motor Club announced Thursday. Johnson plans to compete in the Feb. 16 Daytona 500 and the May 25 Coca-Cola 600.

Jimmie Johnson confirmed Thursday that he will enter into the Daytona 500 as a third car with Legacy Motor Club and will run a part-time 2025 NASCAR Cup Series schedule.

NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson will attempt to qualify for the 2025 Daytona 500 (Feb. 16, 2:30 p.m. ET, FOX, MRN Radio, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio), the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion announced Thursday.

Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson will enter two crown jewels this season inside the No. 84 Toyota Camry XSE he co-owns with Maury Gallagher. Johnson will attempt to make the field in the Daytona 500 next month and also has the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in May.
