Memphis-Shelby County Schools board member Amber Huett-Garcia has proposed an alternative to firing Superintendent Marie Feagins, board documents show. Huett-Garcia’s resolution would provide time for Feagins to remedy the issues board members identified and would require monthly updates to the public about the progress made.

Marie Feagins was hired by the Memphis-Shelby County Schools Board in April but now faces possible firing from board members in early 2025.
