Anker warns that its 334 MagGo Battery PowerCore 10K, Anker Power Bank, and Anker MagGo Power Bank can potentially melt, smoke, or light on fire.

Anker has issued a recall notice for its Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K, model number A1642), Anker Power Bank (model number A1647), and Anker MagGo Power Bank (model number A1652). The company says a manufacturing defect can cause the power banks’ lithium-ion batteries to overheat and potentially cause a fire risk.

If you own any of those three products, immediately cease use of it and store it on a safe place. Anker has a form on its recall notice page where you can fill in the serial number on the product to get the recall process going. After that, Anker recommends disposing of the device somewhere that accepts lithium ion batteries.

Anker, known for making portable phone battery chargers, has issued a recall of lithium-ion batteries used in several products for posing a potential fire risk caused by a manufacturing defect. The affected products include the Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K), Anker Power Bank and Anker MagGo Power Bank.

Back in June, Anker announced that it was recalling its popular 321 Power Bank, alongside the Soundcore A3102 speaker and A3302 speakerphone, due to potential fire hazards from lithium-ion batteries. And now, as spotted by Android Police, the company has made a similar recall announcement for three other battery packs.

Anker has recalled several power banks, including the Anker 334 MagGo Battery, due to fire risks from defective lithium-ion batteries.

Anker has issued a recall for three of its power banks, and specifically those which were made between 3 January and 17 September of this year.
