Former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard has been tapped by President Elect Donald Trump to be the Director of National Intelligence. It is a role that carries massive implications for U.S. diplomacy and military action.

Gabbard was co-chair of Trump’s transition team and announced she had officially become a member of the Republican party in October.
