A Kentucky State Police (KSP) trooper was hit and injured on Sunday in Hart County on I-65 during a winter storm.

HORSE CAVE, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police want drivers to avoid travel during this winter storm. KSP posted a picture to its social media page, saying a trooper was hit Sunday along I-65 in Hart County.

HART COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Kentucky State Police trooper was struck on Interstate 65 in Hart County while responding to incidents during the ongoing severe weather. According to authorities, the trooper is receiving medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

KSP posted information on the crash involving a trooper that occurred on I-65 at mile marker 57 in Hart County during inclement weather at noon on Sunday, while responding to a crash. The trooper was on the outside shoulder with his emergency equipment activated when his state police cruiser was rear-ended.
