Texas AG Ken Paxton is investigating Chinese artificial intelligence company DeepSeek due to data privacy concerns.

The action, requested by the state bar and Paxton, ended a lawsuit alleging the attorney general dishonestly tried to overturn the 2020 election.

The Texas Supreme Court on Friday dismissed an attempt by the State Bar to discipline Attorney General Ken Paxton for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. The Bar had moved to drop the misconduct suit after the high court ruled in favor of Paxton’s first assistant Brent Webster in a similar case in December.

The state bar had sought to sanction Paxton, which could have carried a punishment ranging from a private reprimand to disbarment.
