So far, the Sundance Film Festival has seen a wide variety of celebrity fashion, from gowns to fur-covered clogs.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox walked the press line for the Sundance Film Festival premiere of “Train Dreams” at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City on Saturday night. “It’s going to be an amazing festival, 41 years of Sundance here in Utah,” Cox said. “I think this is going to be the best one ever.”

This year saw a slightly subdued Sundance with more first-time directors, resulting in slightly less star power on Main Street—until Sunday, at least, when Jennifer Lopez arrived for the premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Nothing lasts, everything fades, and all is ultimately forgotten, and yet if Train Dreams roots itself in that melancholic viewpoint, it also fights against such inevitability by remembering a life overlooked.
