A Mumbai court granted bail to a man accused of abetting his girlfriend's suicide, citing insufficient evidence and no suicide note.

The accused's counsel argued that the charge of abetment to suicide was unsubstantiated due to a lack of evidence of criminal intent, absence of prior complaints or a suicide note.

A court here on Friday granted bail to Aditya Pandit, the jailed boyfriend of an Air India pilot who allegedly committed suicide last month.
