A man died after falling onto CTA train tracks and being struck by an arriving train Sunday night on the West Side.

The man, 40, was walking on the train platform at the Western Blue Line station when he fell onto the tracks and was hit by a CTA train about 9:06 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Tuesday evening behind the IKEA Store. The circumstances are not known at this time. MetroLink Station Shuttles will transport passengers by bus between the Central West End, Cortex and Grand MetroLink Stations.
