If you’ve just dropped more than a grand on a new graphics card, you might be miffed if it fails to live up to expected performance. More than a few buyers of new RTX 50-series GPUs are feeling that right now after reports of missing ROPs on brand-new cards.

According to TechPowerUp, consumers revealed that some of the RTX 5090 and 5070Ti graphics cards had a lower number of ROPs than claimed by Nvidia. The RTX 5090 was showcased with 176 ROPs, but instead, it had 168. This loss of 8 ROPs results in a 4% performance loss.
