Great Britain's Emma Raducanu reaches the quarter-finals at the Korea Open after beating China's Yue Yuan in straight sets in Seoul.

Former U.S. Open champion Emma Raducanu said she was proud of her performance as she picked up her first win in 48 days after beating American Peyton Stearns 7-6(4) 7-6(5) in the first round of the Korea Open in Seoul on Tuesday.

She skipped the Paris Olympics to focus on the American hard-court swing before being ruthlessly knocked out of the US Open in the first round by Sofia Kenin. Raducanu admitted her mistake in the aftermath and has now revealed that she plans to be as active as possible for the remainder of the season.

The 2021 U.S. Open champion Emma Raducanu reached the quarterfinals of the Korea Open in Seoul on Thursday. Raducanu defeated Yue Yuan of China in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, in the round of 16 at Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul.
