The jury in the Jason Chen murder trial got an up-close and in-depth look at the crime scene where Jasmine Pace was murdered on Wednesday.

After seven days of testimony, a verdict has been reached in the murder trial of Jason Chen. The Pace family has had to experience grief for well over two years, that no family should ever have to endure.

Jasmine Pace's mother may now move forward with her $17 million lawsuit against Jason Chen and his parents for allegedly concealing a murder and harboring a murderer.

Zack Crawford, the lead detective on the case, said he got involved when a fellow detective called him on Sunday, Nov. 27, and asked if he had been seeing Facebook posts from the Pace family about Jasmine's disappearance. He said he began studying those posts, then soon got a call from his supervisor asking him to look into it.

Jason Chen was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole Tuesday for the murder of Jasmine Pace following tearful testimony from both families.

Text messages between Jason Chen and Jasmine Pace showed no arguments or disagreements between them prior to her savage murder at Chen's North Chattanooga apartment on Nov. 23, 2022, it was testified Friday. Detective Zack Crawford said out of just under 1,400 texts there was no indication of acrimony between the young couple.
