President Donald Trump’s decision to nominate Doug Collins, Air Force Reserve colonel and former Georgia congressman, as VA secretary signaled a commitment to changing things for the better and prioritizing the millions of veterans who depend on the VA.

Two more of President Trump's Cabinet picks, Doug Collins and Elise Stefanik, will receive confirmation hearings on Tuesday. His Treasury nominee, Scott Bessent, will get a committee vote.

As of Thursday morning, the former House of Representatives member was in the Veterans Committee as part of the confirmation process.
