An Ohio police officer and a four-year-old girl were shot Wednesday in St. Clair Township when a possibly suicidal man opened fire after officers attempted to speak with him.

Kevin Minder, 28, of Toledo, is facing several charges after allegedly making threats against an elementary school in Hillsdale.

According to Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County, Ziere Shields is facing multiple charges including being a felon in possession of a gun. His first arrest came from an incident in April of 2024 where he pleaded guilty to attempted improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, a felony.
