Sean Duffy has been confirmed as the US Transportation Secretary, focusing on infrastructure, safety, and regulations for self-driving cars.

Duffy, a 53-year-old former Wisconsin congressman and reality TV star, was approved on a 77-22 vote in the Senate.

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed former Rep. Sean Duffy (R-Wis.) to be the next Transportation secretary, putting him in place to lead a sprawling agency that oversees air travel, highways, pipelines and railroads.
