Victories away from home remain elusive for Iowa men’s basketball. The Hawkeyes lost their fifth consecutive road contest, dropping an x decision to Ohio State on Monday night at The Schottenstein Center in Columbus.

The Buckeyes haven’t had the homecourt success of most Big Ten teams, and the Hawkeyes haven’t at any conference road successes this season.

The Buckeyes’ lead ballooned to as many as 25 points in what has become a familiar sight on the road for Iowa. The Hawkeyes were not able to sustain the level of offensive and defensive activity needed to win on the road. Ohio State looked comfortable and was in clear command of the game.

It was a season-low in points for the Hawkeyes, who fell to 13-8 overall, 4-6 in the Big Ten. Ohio State is 12-8, 4-5. Iowa shot 39.3 percent from the field, also a season-low. It made 7 of 25 3-pointers.
