Bostonians will likely be waking up to light snowfall Saturday morning with the chance for some accumulation of up to 2 inches, the first time in several weeks as two storms pass near New England. The main storm will miss our region to the south, keeping the heaviest precipitation out to sea.

BOSTON - There is some snow in the forecast for Massachusetts this weekend. The Boston area will get a small taste from the winter storm now barreling through the south. Some light snow will be in the air Saturday morning and early afternoon.

A NWS forecaster said Massachusetts will see at most two inches of snowfall from the storm this weekend. Most parts of the state, including Worcester, Boston and the South Shore, are expected to get less than an inch of snow.

The whopper of a winter storm will be passing well to New England’s south on Saturday, as local meteorologists predict only some light snow for the region. Most spots will see a half an inch to an inch of snow, with some localized 2-inch amounts.
