SEPTA officials say a man was killed and a woman was taken to the hospital after they were struck by a SEPTA bus in South Philadelphia Friday night.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One pedestrian is dead and another is injured after they were struck by a Route 84 SEPTA bus on Friday night. It happened just before 7 p.m. at Front Street and Washington Avenue in the city's Queen Village neighborhood. A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating after a man and woman were hit by a SEPTA bus, killing the man on a South Philadelphia street.

Officials say a husband and wife were crossing the street in South Philadelphia when they were struck by a SEPTA bus.
