Due to logistical challenges with the English and Australian teams' arrival, the tournament’s traditional opening ceremony and the customary captains' day will be scrapped, reported Dawn.

The final ceremony will be held in Lahore on February 16, attended by former cricketers and ICC officials. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has already met with PM Shahbaz Sharif to finalize the arrangements.

The ICC and PCB are yet to confirm if Indian captain, Rohit Sharma, would be travelling to Lahore for the events
