Poland's Magdalena Frech hit new heights this week, earning her first WTA tour singles title in Guadalajara to cap off "the most amazing year" of her career.

Magdalena Frech became the fourth Polish woman to win a singles title this century joining Magda Linette, Agnieszka Radwanska and current world No.1 Iga Swiatek.

No.5 seed Magdalena Frech of Poland claimed a breakthrough singles title with a victory over qualifier Olivia Gadecki in the Open AKRON final.

The final is set at the Guadalajara Open Akron and two unexpected names make the last two. With most top seeds bowing out early, it presented a great opportunity for someone to make a deep run and Olivia Gadecki has grabbed it with both hands.

Magdalena Frech defeated qualifier Olivia Gadecki 7-6 (5), 6-4 on Sunday to capture her first WTA title at the Guadalajara Open.
