The Greater Manchester-headquartered retailer said profit before tax totalled £6m for the year to 27 January, 2024, up from the £2.8m it recorded for the prior 12 months

Sportswear retailer Footasylum has reported another "record" year of profits and sales helped by its ongoing store expansion strategy and enhanced omnichannel retail technology.

These positive results follow the news in March that both the CEO and executive chairman of Footasylum would be departing to take on roles with Aurelius, the German equity firm which owns the Footasylum brand and previously owned The Body Shop before it went into administration.

Footasylum has more than doubled its pre-tax profits and is “on track for another successful year” thanks to the opening and upsizing of stores.

Footasylum has posted uplifts in sales and profit in the 12 months to 27 January 2024 to mark a further year of record growth. Total revenue increased by 7% to £319.5 million after trade was boosted by a 15% rise in online sales and an 87% increase in its wholesale business,
