Delta Air Lines is assisting JetZero with its development of a sustainable blended-wing-body aircraft through a partnership with the aerospace startup.

Delta Air Lines and JetZero are partnering to develop a commercial blended-wing-body (BWB) aircraft that would be 50 percent more fuel efficient than those in current operation, the carrier has announced.

JetZero is partnering with Delta on a revolutionary BWB aircraft that looks and feels like nothing flying today's commercial skies.

Delta said yesterday it would partner with JetZero on a project where the airline would contribute resources to the aviation startup through its "Sustainable Skies Lab" program. While not involving any monetary investment, the program gives JetZero "the direct support of [Delta's] talent and access to its industry-leading operations."
