The Texas Rangers today announced the club has agreed to terms with INF Nick Ahmed and OF Sam Haggerty on minor league contracts with invitations to 2025 Major League Spring Training camp.
The 30-year-old switch-hitter is competing for a bench spot on the Rangers' Opening Day roster.
Haggerty, 30, has a career .232/.312/.351 slash line with a .663 OPS, nine home runs, 40 RBI and 33 steals in 202 games over six seasons with the Mets and Mariners.
