As fires rage across Los Angeles and tens of thousands flee their homes, the usual suspects have decided to blame the blazes on their political enemies. In a series of posts on Truth Social, President-elect Donald Trump claimed firefighters’ inability to get the fires under control was due to California Governor Gavin Newsom’s water policies,

“Today, Trump jumped into a broom closet to hide from Elon, and Melania was like, ‘Hey, get your own spot!’” the “Tonight Show” host joked. Musk, whom Trump appointed to head up his unofficial Department of Government Efficiency, is reportedly invading the incoming president’s space down in Mar-a-Lago.

Elon Musk has been “renting” a place to stay at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, and he didn’t leave until Christmas, according to recent reporting by The New York Times. Musk is expected to return in the next week.

The veteran New York Times reporter also said the "President Musk" nickname "definitely bothers" the president-elect.

Publicly, Donald Trump is thrilled to have his mega-donor and “First Buddy” Elon Musk camping out just a few hundred feet from his house. Privately, he seems to be tiring of Musk dropping in whenever he feels like it.
