At least one person had life-threatening injuries and three arrests were made after the incident unfolded at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on Christmas.

Police are investigating a Christmas shooting at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix that left three people wounded by gunfire and another person stabbed.

Operations are back to normal at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport Thursday after an apparent family fight erupted into gunfire in the airport's busiest terminal Wednesday night, injuring four people, one critically.

Phoenix police said four people who were injured when a fight turned violent at the airport on Christmas all knew each other.

Phoenix Police said they responded to a shooting at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport late on Christmas5.Airport officials told local media gunshots were heard “just after 9:40 p.m. in Terminal 4 of the airport.

"Detectives allow the evidence that is available (to) tell a story," said police spokesperson Sgt. Rob Scherer in an email Saturday.

A shooting at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix left two people injured by gunfire and another person stabbed in an incident related to a family dispute, police say. Although police said previously that three people were shot in the incident, they later said two people were shot and that it was unknown whether another injured person was shot or cut.

Police said in court documents that Cole Nenon had no connection to the shooting, and they recovered and impounded three firearms from him.
