Apple TV+ has shared the first images of Alexander Skarsgård in its upcoming sci-fi series, "Murderbot." Based on Martha Wells' Hugo and Nebula Award-winning book series "The Murderbot Diaries," the show follows a self-hacking security construct (Skarsgård) that finds itself simultaneously put off by human emotion and yet drawn to its clients in spite of that.

Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Succession and Big Little Lies alum Alexander Skarsgård's new sci-fi comedic thriller, Murderbot, is set to premiere on Apple TV+ May 16.

Fans of Martha Wells’ bestselling, Hugo and Nebula Award-winning book series The Murderbot Diaries will be able to dive back into the universe with an all-new Apple TV+ series, Murderbot. Wells will have a hand in the series to make her story come to life.
