Shell trimmed its liquefied natural gas production outlook for the fourth quarter on Wednesday and said oil and gas trading results are expected to be significantly lower than in the previous three months.

Shell (NYSE:SHEL) cut its Q4 forecast; LNG liquefaction volumes are expected to be between 6.8 and 7.2 million metric tons, lower than Q3's 7.5 MT, due to lower feedgas and fewer cargos due to the timing of liftings.

Energy major Shell has slimmed its expectations on its fourth quarter LNG production. In a fourth quarter update note, Shell detailed that trading and optimisation results for its integrated gas segment are expected to be “significantly lower” than in the third quarter.
