“North winds 25 to 30 knots with gusts up to 45 knots. Seas 7 to 10 feet, occasionally to 13 feet,” the NWS marine forecast from Fernandina Beach south to St. Augustine said. “Intracoastal waters very rough. Showers. Freezing rain after midnight.”

After a rainy weekend, cold temperatures will move into Central Florida. Temperatures will drop to the 30s and 40s on Sunday night. By Monday morning, wind chills could reach as low as 20 degrees.

After a warmer and cloudy weekend, big changes are coming to Florida this week. Our area will stay cold for most of the week. We will see mostly cloudy skies on Monday with better chances for rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A cold front moving through South Florida during the day Saturday will bring a quick moving line of showers through the area. Behind the front, cooler and drier air will fill back into the area by the afternoon and evening hours.

It’s a dreary start to the day with clouds and rain around South Florida. Temperatures are in the mid-60s and will fall a few more degrees before we warm up after sunrise. It’ll stay cool today with highs remaining in the upper 60s under clouds and bouts of rain.
