The Juneau County Sheriff's Office confirmed Virgil Thew, 47, of New Lisbon, was apprehended Thursday in Elroy after being on the run for more than a week.

Virgil Thew is charged with three counts of first-degree intentional homicide for the death of Elizabeth Kolba, 33, and two girls, ages 12 and 13.

Virgil Thew, the Wisconsin man charged and wanted for three counts of first-degree intentional homicide, has been taken into custody.

The house in which the bodies of 33-year-old Elizabeth Kolba and two girls, 12 and 13, were found Monday, at the corner of West Bridge and North Hanover streets in New Lisbon. Virgil Thew, Kolba's boyfriend, has been charged in Juneau County Court with the triple homicide.

The manhunt for the suspect in a triple homicide has been arrested, according to the Juneau County Sheriff's Office. Virgil Thew, 47, was found Thursday and taken into custody in the city of Elroy. The New Lisbon Police Department said the Juneau County Communication Center received a call about a suspicious person in Elroy just before noon.

The man wanted for homicide in the deaths of three people in New Lisbon is in custody, the Juneau County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday. The agency said the public is not in danger at this time. Virgil Thew faces three charges of first-degree intentional homicide.
