With a storm bringing a risk of mudslides and debris flows, some areas of Los Angeles recently burned by wildfires are facing mandatory orders and warnings to evacuate their homes as the region braces for heavy rain and possible flooding.

Evacuation warnings have been issued for parts of Los Angeles County, near burn scar areas due to high mudslide and debris flow risks.

A strong storm system is expected to “blast through” Los Angeles and Orange County tonight, bringing a heavy dose of rain over a short period of time and prompting evacuation orders, flood warnings and road closures.
