Dylan DeMelo scored with 27 seconds remaining in the third period as the Winnipeg Jets defeated the visiting Seattle Kraken 2-1 Thursday night to remain tied with Washington for first place in the NHL's overall standings.

Dylan DeMelo scored with 27 seconds left to play to give the Winnipeg Jets a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night. Matty Beniers scored in the first period for Seattle and Mark Scheifele scored a power-play goal for Winnipeg in the second period.

Youngster Matty Beniers got things going for Seattle just 8:12 into the game. A floating pass from the defensive zone caught the Jets standing still, before Kaapo Kakko fed Beniers for a redirection from the top of the crease which beat Hellebuyck for the early 1-0 score.
