Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi is set to take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi today, making her the third woman and youngest to hold this position in the capital.

AAP leader Atishi is all set to become Delhi's youngest Chief Minister after her swearing-in ceremony at Raj Niwas on Saturday evening at around 4:30 PM. Atishi, who will be the third woman CM after Sushma Swaraj from the BJP and Sheila Dixit from the Congress ,

The party had previously announced that only Atishi would take oath, however, it was later decided that her council of ministers would also take the oath.

Political drama unfolded in Delhi after Atishi was named the Chief Minister designate following Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation. BJP sharply criticized the move, dubbing it a mere 're-designation' and questioning AAP's governance.

Atishi, who was proposed as the CM-designate by Arvind Kejriwal, will take oath along with her council of ministers.

"Atishi will take oath as the Chief Minister of Delhi on September 21, other ministers will also take their oaths alongside her," the Aam Aadmi Party said in a statement.

Lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena on Wednesday sent the file on the appointment of the chief minister to the President for approval, proposing Saturday for the swearing-in ceremony
