Daniil Medvedev used his racket to smash a camera attached to the net during a tricky opening round win at this year’s Australian Open.

Daniil Medvedev is facing more fines from the Australian Open after failing to attend his post-match press conference after the defeat to American teenager Learner Tien. The fifth seed was upset 6-3 7-6 (4) 6-7 (8) 1-6 7-6 (7) in a four hour, 49 minute match that finished around 3am on Margaret Court Arena.

Daniil Medvedev opted out of his Australian Open press conference after crashing out in the second round. Medvedev was coming up against Learner Tien in his round-two clash but the Russian ace suffered a shock exit at the hands of the American.
