Indian Navy divers recovered the body of one of the nine miners trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Assam’s Dima Hasao district on Wednesday. They were trapped on Monday after the mine became inundated with water.

Additionally, four deep divers from the Navy also went inside the flooded shaft to find the trapped miners, the official said.

NDRF is conducting a joint rescue operation with Army. Air Force helicopters have also joined the rescue operation.
