There are a couple restaurants at Descanso. One fancier one that I’ve never tried, and a casual, outdoor cafe, where you order at a window and get a buzzer/pager that goes off when your order is ready. We went to the early light show(5:30) then went into Pasadena to get dinner afterwards.

Yes but it is pretty hot. Make sure to go early.

HIGHLY reccommend spending 1/2 day at The Dallas Arboretum. ANY time of year It would certainly rank HIGH on your list! it sits on a small municipal lake (Dallas' first reservoir) and YEAR ROUND has acres and acres of blooming color (fields of pansies in the winter, azaleas + crabapples in Spring, and pumpkin patch with fields of chrysantimums in Fall. don't miss it!
