This is one of my favorite rides in the Magic Kingdom. Yes, it's old, but it's really fun. The atmosphere and theming are dark and pirate-y, but not scary. There is one small drop at the beginning… Full review by emilyrB4397PB

In the beginning of the ride there is a slight drop, that’s purpose is not to get you wet or scare you. The reason for the drop is to take you under the railroad tracks above and into a large building that contains the majority of the ride. Don’t worry and enjoy.

As others have said, it entirely depends on the time of year you go, whether or not you use a fastpass, and how much time you would spend in the gift shop. We went in early March so less crowds, used a fastpass, and we didn't shop, so in all we were perhaps 20 minutes in the ride area.
