The NCSSA is a non-profit science based conservation organisation whose emphasis is protecting and managing habitats, particularly native vegetation, in South Australia. The Society researches threatened species and habitats, promotes the maintenance of an adequate and representative reserve system, good environmental management, appropriate legislation, educates the public and works with all tiers of government and other conservation groups and land managers to promote best practice biodiversity conservation.
